Now you have found this page it is a good time to tell you what the hell it is all about (if you haven't worked it out already!) It is about the best band in the world, The Offspring. It is the reason that I like their music so much that I have decided to devote a whole page on my website to them. So let us begin.

ABOUT THE BAND

Back in December 29, 1966 a child was born in Orange County, California called Bryan Holland. Obviously at this point no-one knew that he would grow up to form the greatest punk-rock band ever. Bryan was always the best at anything mathematical and always came top of his class. He had black hair and wore plaid bondage pants, this was how he bacame to be known as a "maths geek" and hence the nickname "Dexter." After his schooling days back in 1984, Bryan Holland got together with a man called Greg Kreisel and they formed a band called "Manic Subsidal" which featured two other band members that are no longer in the band. Later on came a guitarist by the name of Kevin Wasserman also nickanmed "Noodles." Noodles joined the band after the original guitarist left. Shortly after, the drummer also left to study medicine. This was where a talented drummer by the name of Ron Welty joined at the young age of 16. "The Offspring" was now complete and they released their debut album titled "The Offspring" in 1989 after landing a recording deal with "Nitro Records" in California. Later on they changed their style slightly from punk to punk-rock. This change sparked a new recoding deal with "Epitaph" located in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. This prompted the release of their second album titled "Ignition" in 1992. At this point the Offspring were still not very heard of and so they decided to release a new album that moves ever slightly more towards rock. This album titled "Smash" brought them instant fame in 1994 when they released the two rock songs on the album, "Come out and play" and "Self Esteem." Just after the release of Smash, Dexter Holland completed his PhD in Microbiology. The Offspring were becoming hot property by now and on Februrary 4, 1997 The Offspring released their fourth album titled "Ixnay on the Hombre" by a company called "Columbia" who are a subisduary of "Sony". Columbia was said to have paid Epitaph over $10,000,000 for the rights to the album. Dexter now runs "Nitro Records" that released their first album and Dexter is the co-founder of the FSU foundation with a man called "Jello Biafra".

Noodles is really called "Kevin Wasserman" and was born in Los Angeles on Februray 4, 1963 who is now the bands lead guitarist who also contributes to backing vocals.

Greg K of real name "Greg Kreisel" was born in Glendale, California on January 20, 1965 and he is the bands bass player who also contributes to backing vocals.

Ron Welty really called Ron Welty, was born in Long Beach California on February 1, 1971. He is the youngest member of the band and is the bands drummer. Ron also is part of another smaller band called "Spinning Fish" and has been part of it for over 10 years, but the Offspring is his main money-making project.
